What we do

Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento No. 1032 Benevolent Fund is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization created and maintained by 100% volunteer members. Proceeds from the club's fundraising activities are funneled for disbursement through our Scholarship program, Annual Shopping Spree, Holiday Magic, and year-round hands-on projects. We accept applications for members to participate in giveback and volunteer opportunities in the Sacramento community. We have raised millions and then put the funds to work here in the Sacramento Valley to help underserved children. Let’s work together to support the children of Sacramento!

Request Examples and Notes

Active 20-30 Club will consider requests throughout the year. All requests must have a hands-on component for our membership to participate in. Funding only applications will not be reviewed. Please see some examples below for reference.

Examples:

  1. Pumpkin Patch Visit: Active 20-30 Club provided a small stipend for children to visit a pumpkin patch, enjoy a sweet treat, and then worked with members on arts of crafts projects.

  2. Craft Project: Active 20-30 members brightened the hallways at Shiner’s Hospital by creating Halloween decorations for the children to enjoy during the month of October.

  3. Keaton’s Cancer Alliance Easter Egg Hunt: Active 20-30 Club put together a small egg hunt for the children in the Keaton’s program and provided Easter baskets for each participating child. Members were present during the hunt.

  4. Single Mom Strong Friendsgiving: Hands-on support was provided to make dinner for participants of the Single Mom Strong program.

  5. Sacramento Food Bank: Hands-on support to pack boxes of food that would be distributed to those in need in the Sacramento area.


Please note:

  • We kindly ask that requests be submitted 4-6 weeks in advance.

  • Decisions are typically made within 2-3 weeks of receipt and if selected will be communicated via email.

  • All requests must have a hands-on component for our membership to participate in. Funding only applications will not be considered.
