Scott Crosbie Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2013 in memory of Scott Crosbie, the beloved son of Past President and Woman of the Year Heidi Crosbie. Scott was passionate about higher education and the sciences, and he was actively working toward his doctoral degree at UC Davis.
Requirements and qualifications:
Graduating from high school on or before July 31 of this year.
Must reside or attend school in Greater Sacramento (Sacramento, Placer, Yolo Counties) at time of application
Be pursuing a college degree or technical training certification in the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Mental Health, or Veterinary Science
Community Service/volunteer experience
Planning to attend a two (2) or four (4) year college or university, Vocational or Trade School in the upcoming academic year

Submit a copy of high school transcripts. Unofficial copies accepted.
Verification of community service hours.
Verification can be done using our form or screenshots from school's tracking apps.
Optional: Letter(s) of recommendation. Applicants may submit up to two letters of recommendation from individuals who are not related to the applicant.

Written essay: approximately 500 words
Video or audio recording: 2-3 minutes
PowerPoint presentation: 2-3 minutes if presented, or sufficient slides to fully address the prompt

Regardless of format, ensure your response addresses all questions in the prompt.

Active 20-30 Club’s mission is “Providing young adults an opportunity for personal growth, friendships, and leadership development while improving the quality of life for the underserved children in our communities.”
Please share how your community service experiences reflect this mission. Describe specific ways you have served others, the impact your efforts had on your community or the people you worked with, and what you personally learned or gained through these experiences.

Describe your post-high school plans, including your intended field of study or training, long-term goals, and career aspirations. Explain what influenced your choice and the skills or personal attributes that you believe will contribute to your success as a professional.
